CUSTOMER LOSES TIFFANY & Co. ENGAGEMENT RING

CUSTOMER LOSES TIFFANY & Co. ENGAGEMENT RING

Yesterday a Client called distraught that she had lost her Tiffany & Co. diamond engagement ring. The last time she had seen it her 4 year old child was playing near her jewelry box. Now the Tiffany ring was gone. Vanished.

She called us to ask us to be extra careful cleaning her house today, and explained the situation. This is the type of stuff our Quality Control Manager lives for. She was on a mission to find that ring. The QC Manager pulled the regular crew who cleaned this house aside and put a bounty on that Tiffany ring. They tried to get into the mind of a 4 year old. Just about everyone who works for You’ve Got MAIDS is a Mom or a Grandmom so they have some understanding of the crazy things kids can do. They planned their attack.

  • They narrowed their focus to 4 feet and down.
  • Vacuums and vacuum bags were to be inspected before and after the clean.
  • All trash would be examined closely. Nothing was going to leave the house without the Team Leader & the Quality Control Manager eyeballing it.
  • It was this teams 2nd clean of the day, so they would have the Quality Control Manager rendezvous with them at the home.

Our maids & Quality Control Manager converged at our Clients home, ready to give her the house cleaning of a life time (at least for the bottom 4 feet of every room). Vacuums were inspected, microfibers cloths counted, spray bottles arranged in our maids aprons…all purpose cleaner in the right holster, glass cleaner in the left holster.

Imagine Wyatt Earp, the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday striding determindly down that dusty Tombstone, Arizona street. Further down the street, at the OK Corral, the Clanton’s & McLaury’s were waiting for a fight, and a fight they would have. It was just that intense for our maids; perhaps more so. Am I the only one with goose bumps?

The Team Leader opened the home with the key our Client entrusts to You’ve Got MAIDS (most Clients do). The spray bottle slinging maids sauntered into the home…instead of tumbleweeds blowing across the family room it was dust bunnies. Someone had left the sound track of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly playing in the home theater room and the music drifted eerily across the Spanish tile floors. And then they found it…

It was a note from the homeowner. She had found the Tiffany & Co. ring late the night before. The maids were confused with the mixture of emotions; they were happy for their Client and disappointed at their loss of an epic adventure. It was bittersweet. Adventure would have to wait another day.
